Chicago Cook Workforce Partnership

The Manufacturing Careers Internship Program (MCIP) provides youth ages 18-24 an opportunity to explore meaningful and productive careers in manufacturing while simultaneously addressing the critical shortage of qualified workers in the manufacturing sector. 


The Genesis Movement, powered by IMEC, is a new way to think about manufacturing excellence that increases the competitiveness of Chicago-area manufacturers and creates a more skilled and adaptable workforce.The interactive approach and unique pay-it-forward model creates an environment for manufacturers to open themselves up for performance and practice improvements that generate sustained results in the long-run.

Metro Chicago Exports

Metro Chicago Exports (MCE) is an unprecedented collaboration between the seven counties in Northeastern Illinois  and the City of Chicago to increase exports from small and medium-sized companies and to support regional job growth. MCE provides grants up to $5,000 to small and medium-sized companies in the seven-county region to reimburse 50% of eligible expenses associated with implementing an export plan. MCE leads ExporTech™ in Illinois, the only national program that helps each company develop an export plan. Three full-day sessions efficiently connect companies with local and national experts to help navigate the export sales process.
